The Chelsea No.10 shirt may become available once again this summer with the current owner on course to leave ahead of the 2020/21 season.
Losing Eden Hazard to Real Madrid 12 months ago as he finally signed for Real Madrid, Willian inherited the famous number after previously wearing No.22 since his move to the club from Anzhi Makhachkala back in 2013.
A key part of Frank Lampard's side over the course of the campaign, the Brazilian is out of contract this summer and it appears his time at Stamford Bridge will come to an end.
The 31-year-old wants a long-term deal to extend his stay in west London but the fact the Blues are not prepared to table an offer of more than two years means he is likely to look elsewhere.

ALL YOUR QUESTIONS ON CHELSEA ANSWERED
Willian and his family love living in the capital and there's the possibility that he could remain in the city amid links with both Arsenal and Tottenham.
One thing you can guarantee if he does cut his ties with the club this summer is that a number of players will be keen on becoming the club's No.10.
But who could follow in the footsteps of Hazard, Juan Mata and Joe Cole by taking on the famous number? football.london takes a look at seven options if the number does become available for the second time in the space of a year.
Hakim Ziyech
Lampard has already strengthened for next season with the addition of Ziyech from Ajax.
The Moroccan international has made a huge impression in the Eredivisie over the past few years and now he has the chance to do likewise in the top flight.
Ziyech currently wears No.22 at Ajax but Christian Pulisic took on that shirt after his move from Borussia Dortmund at the start of the season.
However, he may fancy a change and plump for No.10 given he's previously worn it at Ajax, FC Twente and Heerenveen.
Christian Pulisic
Pulisic has never worn No.10 during his club career but there is a first time for everything.
It's a number he is familiar with after wearing it on the international stage for the United States and he may want to do likewise at Chelsea.
Christian Pulisic wears the famous number on the international stage for the United States
He will have plenty of competition if he wants to follow in the footsteps of Hazard and Willian by taking on the famous number.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek
It has been a season to forget for Loftus-Cheek after failing to make a single appearance under Lampard because of injury.
The England international ruptured his Achilles tendon in a post-season friendly last May and he's had to make do with appearances for the Development Squad so far as he steps up his recovery.
He's worn the number in the past in Chelsea's academy and on the international stage for England, yet it may go to someone else given he's not played a single minute of action this term.
Mason Mount
Mount has also done the same as Loftus-Cheek by wearing the number in Chelsea's academy and whilst playing for England.
The player is destined to move on from his No.19 shirt at the club in the future but it remains to be seen if that will be next season or later down the line.
It would cap a remarkable couple of years for the player if he took on Willian's number after making the big step from the academy to the first team.
And the players linked with a move to the club this summer...
Philippe Coutinho
Talk of Coutinho moving to Stamford Bridge just doesn't go away following his miserable spell at Barcelona so far.
Chelsea's next No.10?
The Brazilian international is currently on loan at Bayern Munich but it appears he will be playing elsewhere next term as they've not taken up the option to sign him permanently.
Coutinho will definitely be eyeing up the number at Chelsea if he makes the move as he has worn No.10 at both Liverpool and Bayern.
Jadon Sancho
Another player heavily tipped for a move to the club this summer is Sancho.
He has taken his game to another level at Borussia Dortmund and a move to the Premier League looks to take place at some point in the future.

As the No.7 shirt he currently wears for the Bundesliga side is taken by N'Golo Kante, Willian's current top will no doubt be appealing.
Kai Havertz
The links with Bundesliga players don't stop right there as Bayer Leverkusen ace Kai Havertz has also been mentioned regarding a move to west London.
Another who seems certain to move to one of Europe's biggest teams in the future, he would be worthy of the famous number at Chelsea going on what he's produced for the German side so far in his short career.
